I've been in situations where the other party only expects anger and retribution from me, and I've completely surprised them by offering genuine forgiveness, compassion, understanding and kindness.
Life takes us down many different roads. Someone might think one way is the only way to get something done right (like Suri), but may genuinely not understand or believe that there are other, better ways to get things done. It's hard to convince someone that their way of thinking may not be as concrete as was once believed.

She stole her show and almost destroyed her friendship with the girls, but not even that was enough to defeat the most fabulous and generous mare in all of Equestria.
That paper Suri is holding, is that supposed to mean that after Coco left her she tried to do things by herself but got fired and feeling alone and lost had the chance to run into them just in time before doing something really stupid?
I guess being alone showed her how kind Coco was with her and only then she realized her terrible mistake.
