Description
This is the final part of a complete step-by-step, start-to-finish tutorial of how I did the image below. Part One of the Tutorial is in the middle, Part Two on the right:Part o3: Highlights, Effects, and Edits
*This tutorial is primarily for PaintTool SAI, but includes a bit of Photoshop
*My four main brushes and settings: [link]
I used the pen tool (though at size 4) for the lineart, the brush tool for the sketch and coloring, and the brush and water tools for blending purposes.
~
If you have any questions at all, totally feel free to ask me anything!
Fff, also, totes know I spelled Gaussian wrong, alright? I'm just waaaayy too lazy to go in and fix it so you all will have to deal with it. We all know you know what I mean anyway. Herpderp.

Uhh.. I got a question.
What are the tool settings you use when you draw this type of stuff? (I can't even understand myself )

Pretty much the same settings I posted a link to in the artist comments; [link]
It's been a while since I've drawn any of these, so I don't recall EXACTLY what I used in what order--but... I imagine for these things I used my brush tool settings for lines and flats, and then a mix of the brush and water tool for blending.

I just noticed that the very last step where you seperated some of the darker colors of the objects with pure white, dont appear in the final upload ! Liar!!!! XD
Anyway, even if i never have and never will use Sai this looked quite helpful to me, artstylewise :3 Thank you for taking your time to make this!

Where can you get PaintTool SAI from? I have Photoshop but SAI sounds amazing

I actually got it off of a friend's USB stick, so.... can't really help with that. XD;
I know you can download the trial (just search it on google) and it works for 30 days. After 30 days you can't open existing files or save, but you can still draw on it and stuff--I did this for a while and just used the screencap option to save it when done. I know there are cracked versions floating around, but I don't know where to find them. I think it's only, like, $50 to buy, though. So it's not that bad.

Okay then. Thanks alot for that Cause it seems like SAI would be really good to use. Is it hard to work or do you get used to it?

It would probably be a little confusing at first, but there are a TONS of tutorials out there, and with a little bit of dicking around, it's pretty easy to figure out. C:
(MUCH easier than something like photoshop)

Oh thats great to hear! My Photoshop is kinda tricky to work out with all its silly, unnecessarily buttons and effects.

On SAI? They came with the program when I got it. I'm certain, all versions of SAI, should have the pen tool. It should be there. :c

I was wondering where you got your version of PaintTool SAI. I have a version of it, but it doesn't have anything for "blend mode: addition."

Maybe now some of the tutorials I see will make more sense.
