Description
There are not many permanent inhabitants on Otter Island, so it was love at first sight for lifeguard Kean when he saw marine biologist Andrea from the mainland for the first time. He decides to take the leap and ask her for a date, and maybe find out if she could be his lifelong companion.Β

Got some free time, so I practiced some character drawing and coloring. I'm currently on a cartoons and comics spree. Trying to find out how some people on dA can do shading like a deity. Apparently I got lots to learn.Β

You draw the cutest characters :'D
I really like the background! It looks so cute and it's really effective for the overall vibe of the drawing!

Aww thanks!
I got inspired from retro 80's cartoons. Plus I just discovered a use for a texture brush that I'd never use to save even my life. I went nuts.

The pick is great! Kean Looks so kind and nervous and discovers this beautiful, smart girl Poor guy seems not to have any luck, and got rejected with an extra "W"
The otters really look great, keeping their hydrodynamic looks. Surfing-boards look really trippy with so much color and crazy designs. Love it!

Haha, who knows - she might say 'no' now, but later she might be back.
Thanks, Foto. This was inspired by retro 80's cartoons. Not sure why I'm so inspired by the retro cartoon style so much lately.

Yes, she is Thanks, DV! The BG was especially fun to do. I just used some texture brush in photoshop that I don't normally use, and voila. An unexpected result.Β

Many people with an Otter character always talk about Otter Island, it must be some kind of really existent land in the furry world at this point X3X3X3

I'm not surprised this is so I think it's because otters in the furry universe are always associated with swim and surf. Therefore many artists might tie them with paradise islands, like I do here.
