painted with cintiq in pshopadded in a texture of a waterfall to get that misty cloud look and played with layer opacity and whatever until i got sick of lookin at it...
changed the greyscale to colourize in hue saturation thingy first btw...

I don't think I've given a post to this one yet, but it's well overdue. Simply put man, this is the coolest, best Oro I have seen. Period. Even with just his upper torso. You got the dark thing going on, giving the picture this dirty high-art cinema look, like a high budget war epic or somethin' like that, and I most definitely like that. It also make Oro look very intimidating, but not in the way that it looks like he's a monster, and I find that very important and great in that it sticks with Oro's true character (in the games, he was never evil, just brooding I'd say, living like a hermit all those years). I hope to see more stuff like this from you in the future; your skill is very admirable.

Nicccce!!! It's always cool to hear how an artist thinks, gives nice insight into their way of thinking and whatnot. I sorta do the same thing myself, whenever I'm doing fan art, or original stuff, or w/e. Gives a picture more impact when desired, though it definitely isn't a piece of cake to try and communicate say, a whole story, with just one drawing. A lot of planning goes into it, and I'm just really getting to gripes with that. But yeah, like I said, awesome job with Oro. I'd like to see you do some stuff with other characters too, or (better yet) how's 'bout an Oro pic where he's going down his path of hermitude (sorry couldn't think of a better word) for the first time, like after coming to gripes with himself or something like that? I'd just be like him standing all epic-ish in front of an ancient cave or such. Oh well, it's just an idea. Look forward to seeing more of your stuff later.

Sure bro, absolutely. Like I said, it was just a quick little thought, but if you wanna turn it into something epic, feel free to do so. I'm not a Oro historian myself, but then again, it's not like he's got a story worthy of a feature-length documentary either (hehe). But he's cool. He is a true hermit, and I would LOVE to see him use that other arm (supposedly he decides not to fight with it because he doesn't want to kill his opponent. That's pretty bad ass if you think about it). I'm hoping he (and Dudley, Alex, Yun, Urien, Elena, Ibuki, Makato, and Twelve) gets in the new Street Fighter game (IV) at some point, and add some dimension to that piece.
Anyway, as always man, keep up the good work. Hopefully I can get some SF (and non-SF) stuff in my gallery soon myself. If you ever happen to see them, that'd be pretty cool. Later.
