very impressive, the gret scale took you 2 hours, I'm still trying to figure out how you got so much detail. any specific brush that you favor?

joverine In reply to Galim [2008-05-18 21:45:49 +0000 UTC]
i keep using a simple round brush...opacity 60% and flow 40%...with minimum to no shape dynamics and i select other dynamics 'on'
um...pretty much it----i occasionally use a few others
mike and cyprian (of studio Qube) showed me this brush, although they keep it with 100% opacity i believe..and the flow is less? i forget...

greyscale was quick because I've done this type of tonal many times before...eventually you just learn shortcuts...everything seemed to flow fairly well and didn't have to 'redo' too much-got lucky or was well focused or whatever
when i'm not focused thnx to life's many kicks in the balls...it takes much longer

just wondering, what kind of layer types do you use for colors, soft light and color? great texture and direction man, i can feel the turn lolz
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
joverine In reply to Kandoken [2008-05-16 21:03:30 +0000 UTC]
hmm...man..i think i flattened it sorry...
i used a few...opacity? soft light? um...ya just clicked randomly thru..i even made a copy of the image...clicked invert (ctrl I) and used some layer adjustments on that too...flattened everything..used lighting effects...um...did some minor paintovers...cuz his head turned almost silhouette at one point...
so ya...randomness until it felt ok? i'm sure this is all useless info...sorry!
