Spring and summer had been spent desperately trying to maintain the old stable building that seemed like it would fall down with the next brisk wind, and earning money for said task. Alva had hosted a riding camp during summer for local children, and as some of them showed interests in continuing with riding and learning about horses, she considered making it into a more permanent thing. As summer came to and end and all the kids went back to school, she and Caro sat down to come up with a plan for a potential riding school schedule. Not wanting to do anything half way, Alva decided to enroll part time in a riding instructor education. Being allowed to mainly work from home, she spent the rest of her fall months training Regalia, instructing children, and desperately trying to keep the stable running. The time had passed way to quickly, and the frost had already arrived in the early hours. Most of the horses at Wedgewood thrived in the cold, specially Håkon was happy to finally get to stretch his legs in the crisp air.
