”Hey, wait up!” Alva gave the chestnut pony a gentle kick in the stomach. Dakota, who was half asleep, bored with just wandering behind one of the other horses, threw her head up. “Syver wait!” She gave the pony another kick. She loved Dakota, but lately she was getting lazy. Probably her own fault, she should work more with her. Finally the horse started trotting, and she rode past the walking horses on the side of the road. “Hey, you’re a hard man to catch” Alva grinned as she rode up, next to Syver and his horse, Morgenstjerne. “Oh hey, didn’t hear you over all the noice from the hooves” he said with a small smile. Alva let the reins go and just had a loose grip on them. “It was a great weekend at Nattvik by the way. We all had a lot of fun, I ’specially Nina” Alva grinned widely up at him. “Ex as well. I think he fell for that mare… what’s her name, Whiskey or something?”
