Description Story:

A few weeks in and Tommy had already fallen in love with the thoroughbred. He could hardly describe how much he enjoyed sitting on a racehorse again. He was even allowed to enter a race with him, and the next weeks would be all about training for that. He would be lying if he said he didn’t hope for a good placement, he really did, even though he knew the chances might be small. The horse hadn’t entered any raced before, and he wasn’t too experiences in that either.

But how could he not have hope when he was flying down the track, feeling a complete freedom he didn’t get anywhere else? No matter how they would place, he knew that he and Covette would do their best to reach the top.

Excuse me, but do you have really used a reference? I think it isn´t very good drawing.... I´m sorry, but...

For first, we can´t see a saddle, shackles only. Where is girth?
I understand that you want hide a rider, but is it good? Well, it is possible, it shoud be. But anything like this? His legs looks very short, is this rider sitting in racing sadle or what? It really looks like yes. And this hiding rider... Or his hiding head... It isn´t looks very good. You can try turn your image and you probably see it.
And your horse looks a little fat for racing, isn´t it? If is this intention, I didn´t say anything.

I write you, becouse I thnik it´s a pitty that this image looks how it looks for me. Or I am wrong? You are an amazing artist, I love your art, Joybird! You are so talented, I want be like you. Your drawings, your all art is perfect! You have your original, personal style. But this... I don´t like this. First time... I really don´t know.
And it´s a pitty, becouse this drawing has an amazing idea, background and feeling! I can feel this mood. But...

Maybe I´m wrong and if is this true, I´m sorry.

If you read in the description, it says I didn't use a reference, if that is what you're asking in your first sentence ^^

I'm sorry you didn't like this drawing, but I appreciate you taking your time to write such a detailed comment. Hope you can enjoy my drawings in the future more!

It says she didn't use a reference, nor did I see a single request for critique. If she was looking for help, a comment like this might be welcome, but right now you're kinda just being really mean. It's not a bad drawing. There are some things that could be improved, but that's with every piece of art. However, this piece looks more like it's for fun and about her story, so does it really matter?

Joy, keep on being amazing. Your art is beautiful and I'm amazed you were able to pull a pose like this off without a reference!
