Contest Entry forI had alot of fun making this picture, I think I got a little carried away with it.
I don't really know why but I made the picture a little bit like a mirror to show both sides of DragonQuestHero's character Ike.

I think mirror is a great idea for a drawing compostition. However, your sense of shading is a bit, well, inconsistent. The most obvious example of that is the hair of both characters in which the right side has that typical hair sheen, but the other one simply has a light spot that shows the paper grain. I don't know what to say on that, other than taking a deeper look at both characters and to keep practicing on shading.

Okay. I suggest you pay close attention to their faces and limbs because that is where the coloring is most erroneous. Other than that, ie the clothes and swords, coloring is phenomenal.
