Description
So I designed one of the one-mention aliens subjugated by Yeerks a while back, the Mak, mentioned along with the Ssstram by Temrash. The Nahara are also given a single mention, but by Ax.

The Nahara largely abandoned their homeworld generations ago and lived almost exclusively on ships and stations, spreading across several systems. After several territorial disputes with the Dayang and Hawjabrans, both Class One species, they attracted the ire of the Andalite fleet. That war concluded eight years before the first Yeerk took flight, but the computer on one captured fighter still contained residual data on Nahara territory and strengths.

Reconstructing the data took heroic effort, which was not needed for the conquest itself. The first Nahara ship scouts encountered readily believed an offer for alliance and the others were slow to catch on. A belated surge of resistance ended after rebellious stations were breached, and almost the entire species was neatly rolled up halfway through the struggle to subdue the Hork-Bajir. Unfortunately the systems and stations had to be abandoned soon after due to Andalite activity, and maintaining the numbers of captive Nahara in the confined spaces of their ships is now something of a chore. They shed when confined long-term. A lot.

Nahara heads and mouths are on different ends of their bodies, and they are capable of orienting and moving in either direction. To function they require much lighter gravity than more popular species. Unless sanitation is rigorously maintained, the fluff Nahara shed is hazardous to the lungs and eyes of other hosts and makes Pool water disgusting. Past a certain period of development they are capable of thought-speech, but their primary use as hosts is refinement of their technology.

Pre-conquest, Nahara decorated themselves extensively, usually accentuating their existing markings with bright colors. This one is shown with scent-tongues fully extended from its flehmen opening, which is the approved point of access to the Nahara brain. Incidentally, wrestling a Nahara’s head underwater to facilitate access is very difficult and it is encouraged to instead accept hand-delivery.
