Hi Cybell! Thank you very much. This colouring style is alot of fun, i just fill the canvas wih one dark desaturated colour and then paint the character with saturated highlights and shadows keeping the background as the midtone. Makes you pay attention to showing the forms more and not worry much about color, so its pretty relaxing. You should give it a try! Oh and Nid stands for NiGHTS into dreams.

Sooo... I just googled Nights into Dreams and it turns out it's from Sonic the Hedgehog!! O_O I'm a great fan..... of the very first games! >_< These characters look very very cool. How come I've never knew them... XD
I might have to play these games just to see what I've missed.
And... actually I will take your suggestion and try this style,I also think it will be relaxing to colour like this. Thanks for the explanation of your method, now I definitely have to test it.

I actually found out about NiGHTS through Sonic Adventure DX, there was a casino stage there with a nights theme, and I always found it so interesting and mysterious. Then when I got internet, I googled it and got obsessed with nights. Only played the Sega Saturn game, on emulator. It was alot of fun. Haven't played it in like 5 years lol. I defintely recommend giving it a try, now its avaiable for all sorts of consoles including PC. This style is fun too, kind of like working in gray scale i guess.
