Description
Fallen AngelCrawling in my forlorn appearance
I hide my soul behind these tattered wings
Tattered and broken as they are
Plucked of light, stained in tears and blood.
In quiet despair upon the cold earth
Smeared in dirt I crouch upon my weary knees
And clutched timidly between my fingers
Rests one last jewel of Hope.
A single unblemished plume plucked
From the silver light of dawn
A feathered ray of light from beyond
To illuminate the void that has me bound.
This precious barb of silk
Once lost as I was and forgotten
Blazes now to immerse me in radiant bliss
To wash away the pain, draw me from the abyss.
So now I fade awayβ¦
My tender flesh removed
My shattered wings released
My inner light unsheathed⦠escapes.

this is beautiful. it makes u almost feel the angels pain. it seems like when a child is mad at its mother and they say that they hate them. and yet when something goes wrong the parents are always there. wecoming you back in as if it doesnt matter. just what it reminded me of. ya know with the angel turning away from the light only to embrace it again in a final dash of feverish need to feel loved and be rid of pain. simply forgetting why it fell in the first place.

i love this so much. your word choice is beautiful and on-point and the ending brings such a sense of relief, as if the rest of your lines were heavy with suffering. and my goodness, my favorite line was by far "A single unblemished plume plucked
