Click image for full resolution.I have finished it!
This one had some tricky ones. Sawsbuck was the most work-intensive, as I wanted to make the parts that the sprites shared to match up. There was a lot of mixing and matching there. Leavanny's sprite was shaped poorly, making it impossible to add enough detail to make it recognizable once shrunk down. I based this sprite on a Pokémon Conquest image instead. It's a much more dynamic pose anyway. Reuniclus and Ferrothorn required significant modification to make them fit without suffering from the same "not enough room" issue that Leavanny had.
I decided not to make the female Unfezant for a few reasons: partly because I wanted to match things up with the male sprite like with the Sawsbuck forms, but it's not colorful enough for that; and partly because it was one of the last Pokémon I got around to doing and it would've been too much work to rearrange the entire grid to make room. I also didn't bother making the Basculin shinies because the shinies look almost exactly like the normal ones anyway, so there was little point. There's also the fact that Basculin sucks, so I was happy to screw it over.
It wasn't until I was a little over halfway through these that I found out how shiny sprites actually worked in the second generation: it's a true palette swap, changing the colors to the next color in the games' palette instead of having a separate sprite. It makes sense, as it saves a lot of space. It also explains why certain early-generation shinies look like crap. It would've been nice to know this earlier; however, I suppose it may be for the best, as it makes some normal-to-shiny colorations impossible. I took this into account after I found out and redid a few sprites I'd already done. I may go back and redo some other sprites here and in the other images later, though I doubt I'll get around to them all. For now, though, I consider this thing completed.
Next, I think I'll do some human sprites. I expect that to be be easier, as I don't have to consider shinies.

Black and White Kyurem's designs are too complex to be portrayed at such a small scale.

You forgot that Like Jellicent, Unfezant has varied appearance from gender; Female Unfezants look way different. Other than that. good job!

As I stated in the description, I chose not to do female Unfezant for a variety of reasons. I originally wanted to do the male and female without the shinies, which is why I arranged the grid this way. By the time I got around to it, I had changed my mind, but doing both would've been impractical. Maybe someday I'll rearrange the grid and fit it in, but I'm doing something else right now.
Supposedly, I'm working on player, gym leader, Elite Four, and Champion sprites. In actuality, if I'm being honest, I've been binge-playing Minecraft a lot lately instead. I do have all of Gen 3 and most of Gen 4 done, but even my long-term attention span is short, it seems.
