ohmy gosh these are incredible renders! did you rig these characters or just model them in this pose then render? I'm just starting out on maya and extruding a cube is fascinating enough haha

if you want to see her transforming animation : make sure you got flash player
oh, and for maya tips, i would suggest, for you to know the basic tool and remembers them very well.. and i suggest, dont try to follow the tutorial rule too much or you will constrain yourself... when you do 3D modelling, your method might be different from other people method... some people tutorial might start building them from cubes, but you might prefer to build it from cylinder or maybe spheres... of course if you're beginner, you're welcome to follow the tutorial... but at the end, you need to develop a working style which suits you...

wow!! I think its great how clean you've made the motions, I can see where every part belongs and how it shifts which is exactly how a transforming sequence should be awesome job.
OK thanks for the the tip! Yeah I started out with cubes but when I started modelling, recently I made a ray gun I found it easier starting with a cylinder. What version of maya are you using currently? I think I'm using 2014 at the moment.
Do you have any time-lapse videos of you modelling? I'm really interested in seeing how other people go about it.
