I see this and I imagine it with Lockdown's transformation sound in TF:AOE, specifically the one where he transforms from vehicle to robot and begins climbing up the building next to him. On that note, I think this looks really cool.

The design and engineering is very nice. The only thing which is a little offputting is that parts of the transformation seem to move far too fast, and stop far too quickly, to be anything other than CGI. There's no sense of mass, particularly with components such as the robot head and shoulderpads.
It's expected for tiny parts to move quickly, but larger ones should be slightly slower to get moving, and if they slam to a stop, the momentum should transfer to whichever pieces they're touching at the time.
The flow of the transformation is nice - small panels moving at first, then the major structural transformation taking place a little more slowly while minor parts move in and around the process, and then finally a few last smaller panels clicking into place to close up gaps in the exterior plating and give a sense of solidity.

true.. but theres a limitation in the method of transformation that i used.. i used to thought that, the way people transform the robots in Transformers is by creating one giant controler / slider controller that make the robot transform in one single go.. so that's what i did with these character.. a one single slider controller that controls it all... but i then realize that actually ILM and others animate the transformation one part at a time individually, and not one massive slider controller.. that is why they able to control the speed of the parts.. meanwhile its impossible with mine because of those slider controller... >.<
