humm now that i think, i have a couriosityΒ about a my old "arch-nemesis" theΒ infamous eye shapes DUNNDUNNDDUUUUNNNN *dramatic song*.Β In fact i don't know the real shape of mlp eyes, i presume who are spherical, but i'm not sure. For your model you has used a spherical eyes? or deformed with lattice? thanks

you didn't try different styles of nostril? the shows nostrils are practically just slits unless you want hyper realistic nostrils on your poniesΒ

i did.. i tried to put it in photoshop, even just a slit made it really ugly.. i tried different shapes.. slits, holes, even just a bit of vague slit really destroy their look.. so i just left it without nostril... it may look good on drawing or the basic 3D ponies, but it didn't look good on alicorns...

the reason it is off putting is simply because, if you hear the Moonrise Soundtrack, its very serious and dark MLP music.. if i want to make PMV of it, i need to change their look a bit.. a bit more realistic and stylized, because the original look of Celestia and Luna is well, a bit too cute and colourful, so i have to change that... and i also upgraded their wings and armor to be more serious and fantasized... my design cue is from Marvel Thor...
i do admit that the skin look like wax simply because i havent developed the shader of the characters properly...Β

i still stand by my opinion, the lack of nostrils is distracting. I'm gonna watch the video but i feel like I'm just gonna be staring at they're muzzles just being hyper aware of the lack of nostrils

you still need to make the coat hair and horns in HD to contrast with the sharp level of definition in the mane, tal and horseshoes tho
and don't forget the nostils! the ponies need to breathe you know...

i purposefully didn't give them any nostril, because in 2D it might look good, but it looks super duper ugly in 3D...

its because their bodies still look like candy/ made of plastic while the other features are very detailed.
that's understandable. but if you want to improve them, i guess that you should redo their bodies to not look like they are made of wax/glass
