Description
This is a Prince of Saturn painting that I did for Mike Wieringo, before his untimely passing last week. I was a long time fan of his work, and the news hit me very hard. I loved his art, everything from the Flash to Fantastic Four and especially Tellos. He was an incredibly talented artist, but still humble and a genuinely good person. Mike was one of my favorite artists!
He did get to see this colored image, and liked it a lot.
I actually got a few e-mails from him and it was a real thrill.
I've always been a big fan of his creator owned work on Tellos and I've been slowly working on a 3d Image of Koj and Jarek and the rest of the characters. Hopefully I'll finish it someday and it will be a much more fitting tribute.

That's fantastic Jeremy, I can't even imagine how thrilling that was. Mike was a favorite of mine as well, and this is certainly a fitting tribute.
I loved Tellos as well, and can't wait to see the Koj and Jarek piece when you finish it.

I read about that, he had a heart attack at like...age 44. It saddens me to imagine somebody dying at such a young age.
