I'll go with a theory I heard a couple years ago: Corporate in general, the theory stated that CN has to pay out to license anime and it is very expensive with little profit return (commercials mostly), and that they made more money with programing they made (every AS live action show and CN real). So the wanted the least expenditure and the most profit.

Honestly, was TOM 4 really that bad? The animation of all of the bumpers were well made (on software Pixar made) and the people who worked there wanted us to be happy. I guess that flopped, since most fans wanted to kill it with fire. Flash and D were cool, too (especially D), and I loved the look for the templates (and how they were activated by TOM, Flash, and D).
Just be glad Steve Blum still voiced TOM.

The graphics were cool, but the faithful, including me, didn't feel that T.O.M. shouldn't have a face. That mystique about him made him cool.
Flash was cool, but D was uninteresting in my eye.

The Toonami block may have suffered money issues and decided they had no choice but to pull the plug on that block... But I do believe Stuart Snyder is to blame!

Is it because CN was getting something new?
By the way, T.O.M. 4.0's just T.O.M. 3.5's problem in my Fangirl View.

The fan didnt know what they had till it was gone tbh they took toonami for granted thinking it would always be there and then when it wasnt the blamed the company

I agree. Many thought it would last forever, but I knew it probably wouldn't since CN was going into a new direction and didn't see Toonami in that direction.

I think it got cancelled because on that time there was no good dub anime for toonami to air it.

Good point. They did re-air a lot of reruns of Naruto, One Piece, and DBZ at the time.

It's good. I don't think there's a clear answer, but don't be boggled. Toonami is back. That's all that matters now!!!1

I don't think that "Naruto ended Toonami." People are just finding reasons to make others hate on Naruto.
Honestly, I think Ben 10 did. Not because I hate the show, just because ever since Ben 10 was first aired on Cartoon Network, Toonami was canceled.
I don't know..

Agreed. I know they played it in heavy rotation, but I don't think it was the reason of Toonami's cancellation. They still played DBZ around the time CN was about to pull the plug.
I don't think it's Ben 10 did either, just CN going into a new [unforunate] direction and didn't see Toonami as part of their new future.
THNX 4 SHARING!

What really caused it wasn't a matter of what, it was actually just unfortunate thinking. It was originally cancelled because they felt as if no one wanted it anymore and they also wanted something NEW (Which resulted in CN real). That flopped tremendously, which brought up 4 years later them showing it on April fools with all of the great shows last episodes, supposedly to see who was still interested in Toonami. On That day.
The WHOLE world watched.
Which aided all of the petition to bring it back. With suck a firm backbone supporting the cause, Toonami was brought back. Which I might say saved that Network, and hell all of NA television. TOM just knows what the people want.

I couldn't say that any better!!!!
What did they think people stopped caring. They changed the whole perspective and format of Toonami [THEY GAVE TOM A GODDAMN FACE, which Jason DeMarco, creator of Toonami, admitted regrets] Then, CN new direction, LIVE F'N ACTION.
[as] heard the cries of us, the Toonami Faithful and Rebooted the Absolution, gave TOM 3.0 a sweet upgrade, and transmitted Toonami from space itself.
Toonami is indeed BACK BITCHES & STRONGER THAN EVER!!!
