Background
Commander Morgg was a female Navy Officer who served the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. She was part of Separatist invasion fleet's in Dorin and Kamino. In 21 BBY she was assigned to the fleet in the Lin Nega system. When General Soloma , the Commander of Lin Nega's Militia defected, his second, Colonel Kairon , ordered Morgg to blockade planet to prevent his escape. Despite Morgg's actions, the General managed to escape whit a help of a Jedi extraction team.

In 19 BBY, Morgg fought in the Battle of Boretti, under the command of General Yann Draza , head of the CIS Intelligence. During the last battle against Republic, she received a message from Draza's ship, the Spymaster; a small Jedi-led infiltration team had taken over the bridge. Morgg contacted Count Dooku to inform him of the situation, and her decision to deploy the boarding party. However, Dooku disapproved of the mission, commanding her to destroy the Spymaster instead. Morgg was surprised, but swiftly obeyed the order, because she understood that the intelligence was better off destroyed than in Republic hands. She quickly deployed Hyena Bomber droids to target the Spymaster's essential systems. After the ship's destruction, Morgg discovered a few escape pods carrying several officers, including Yaana Il-Mina, the captain of the ship. Il-Mina informed Morgg of Draza's death, and the Separatist retreated on Dooku's orders to Celanon.

Eventually the Clone Wars ended with the deaths of Count Dooku and General Grievous, and the Jedi Purge. After executing the entire Separatist Council on Mustafar, Darth Vader issued the shutdown command, which deactivated most of the droid forces scattered across the galaxy, thereby bringing the war to a rapid conclusion. Morgg however, overrode the signal for the battle droids under her command, and used them to form her own Separatist Holdout, which she commanded as a Warlord. She also called upon former CIS soldiers and mercenaries to join her cause, even recovering Count Dooku's flagship, the Providence-class dreadnought White Wizard, for her own command ship.

Morgg maintained a steady campaign against the Empire for several years, as one of the last and most prominent Separatist Warlords. Then in 17 BBY, she met a former Separatist agent who informed her about a secret Confederate base in the Yaavo system, in Wild Space, where Doctor Haral Coslav, a Targanian scientist who once worked for General Grievous, had created a mysterious weapon; one that supposedly could turn the tide against the Empire and other enemies. But the agent had also informed another Separatist Warlord of the weapon, a Zygerrian named Raquel Kellas . Both Warlords traversed hyperspace to Yaavo, to compete against each other over the superweapon, much to the agent's chagrin. Eventually, Morgg's forces manage overwhelmed Kellas's fleet, by simultaneously deploying her own fleet, and sending a small infiltration and sabotage team. Morgg even offered Kellas a change to join her, but the Zygerrian refused, and her fleet was subsequently destroyed by Morgg's.

After the, Morgg's forces quickly overtook the base. Inside, the droids apprehend two Republic fugitives; Inez Kamina , a Targanian Jedi Padawan on the run from the Emperor's purge, and Jonas Bowan , a Human officer from Jabiim who deserted with Kamina. They had already met Doctor Coslav, who had agreed to help them destroy the weapon before the Empire could take it. Sensing an emotional connection between the two, Morgg threatens to execute Jonas unless Inez opens the door to the weapon, however Doctor Coslav says that only he knew the access codes, and that if she were to let them all go, he'd surrender them. Morgg agreed, and after Coslav gave the codes and the trio left in a shuttle, she ordered Lieutenant Kovac's fighter squad to destroy them. Unfortunately for Morgg, they manage to escape. Meanwhile, Morgg discovered that the weapon was a bioweapon; A mutated, cybernetically enhanced creature, created from the remains of an ancient Sith warbeast. But since the creature was uncontrollable, it broke free from its restraints and attacked, devouring Morgg and her fleet personnel.

Unbeknownst to the Separatists, Inez and Jonas had successfully sabotaged the facility's fusion core; the base was destroyed in a massive atomic blast. Then an Imperial fleet arrived in the Yaavo system, under the command of Lieutenant Commander Orson Krennic. Krennic was on a quest to find the renowned mathematician and crystallographer, Galen Erso, who had deserted the Empire a few weeks earlier. He was also searching for other superweapons, with the hopes of winning the Emperor's favor after loosing Erso. He had tracked to the Yaavo Base whit the same agent who told Morgg and Kellas, only to find a large crater and a Separatist fleet without a leader. In anger and frustration, Krennic ordered the fleet's destruction; the Imperial star destroyers made short work of what was left of Morrg's Holdout.
