Description

And the Raven, never flitting, still is sitting, stili is sitting
On the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door;
And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon’s that is dreaming,
And the lamp-light o’er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor;
And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor
Shall be lifted—nevermore!

My another Halloween art. Dark Lord and Master of the Dark Arts Orell Drax with a raven, Drax and the raven, both with a terrifying stare.

This was inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's poem, The Raven. I became familiar with this poem in the first Treehouse of Horrors episode of The Simpsons, where at the end of the episode Lisa reads a poem to her siblings during Halloween. In particular, the last part of the poem always gives me chills; possibly because of James Earl Jones' voice.
