Well you can at least see the characters compared to the original, I like the poses and to see the kitchen chickens together, and finally, the shark chicken not being in that stupid T pose.
I know you were going for a fire dramatic sort of lighting related to Hells Kitchen, and you chose an already lightly colored character for lighting which is not easy to do and it sadly does blur the characters a little too much to really stand out.
You were on the right track on the strong yellow outlines of the models, as referenced here.

However, the low lights and shades are lacking. Since it seems like the fire is behind the characters, you may have wanted to put a brown dark light in front of them something like this value.

And to add value into the picture, a bit of purple/blue would have done nicely to help them all pop out better.
