é_è hope he will find one soon.
I have three neutered kitties, and adopted each one of them (one in shelter, two in the street) they deserve love, people don't realise how much they can need someone beside them.

thanks! we just need to spread the word, to increase good responsible owners that neuter/spay, use a leash and a badge, take their pets o the vet for vaccines and adopt when they can

I try too ^^ But people are always afraid about adopting an animal which could have any problem... They don't really think it could be the same, or even worse, in a pet shop >.>
Adoption isn't always a great experience (I adopted a dog that turned my life into a hell because of a mental disease, lately) but when it works, they have so much love to spread... ^^

I know it can be difficult, that's why it is also the responsability of the shelter to have a good staff to prevent that kind of troubles. We have to understand this dogs have seen the worst, they need a lot of love and patience to be complete again.
I thinks it is healthier to adopt a cross breed, they are stronger, pet shop dogs may look healthier, but there's no telling, and pedigree dogs... they are cute, but I don't really like people that "produce" animals.

In fact the dog I adopted is quite young, so they (there was the full litter) don't really suffered before, they were quite happy. But the shelter didn't lead them at all. No adult with them, no human to learn them limits... Then the dog can't control himself, and the vet thinks it will be that way for its whole life >.> I'm a little angry against the shelter, because they were equipped to prevent the dogs from that kind of disease, and they let us adopt it even if they knew we lived in an appartment. I think that if they knew the puppies hadn't the right circumstances to grow, they should have tell us about this...
I didn't had any problem with the kitties, though, which I adopted in another town in a more professional shelter ^^ They ask us about our house's size, and gave us a full vet's conclusion about the cat ^^

ehe that's a little shelter, which is not affiliate to the french SPA (the same that your Human Society) plus I'm currently in a region with an awful mentality, I think they'd rather get me out with a lot of unkind words x)
But ! The dog is here now, so I'll try to make with him ^^" Even if it's quite... complicated >.>

si, me imagino... odio que cuando ya no los quieren o "no los pueden tener" los saquen asi porque si
En principio debieron pensar que su mascota crecería y que la tendrían que cuidar siempre, ya son parte de la familia!
