Description "[...] Elizabeth could feel the coiled strength in his arms, so powerful and yet so controlled. She was surrounded by the iron bands of his arms, yet she felt safe and secure. He possessed so much strength and power, yet he held back from hurting the Little Sisters when he had every excuse to take what he needed from them. He hadn't needed to save her, yet here she was, alive and with the best protector in the city." - The Lion and the Lamb, by MartyrFan

The Bioshock series is one of my favorite game series of all time. Not only were the games extremely fun to play, but it had been a while since a story had made such an impact on me. The twists in Bioshock 1 and 2 kept me glued to the screen to find out what would come next, but nothing could have prepared me for the emotional roller coaster that Bioshock Infinite was, especially the two Burial at Sea episodes. Out of all the characters that had appeared throughout the series, there were no two more perfect for each other than Jack and Elizabeth. Both had their lives stolen from their natural course, manipulated to serve the evil interest of others and orphaned from everything and everyone that they once held dear. And yet, in spite of everything, Jack bent over backwards to make sure that all the Little Sisters he could find were saved from their condition and given a better life, no matter his own personal gain or cost. Elizabeth may have danced with darkness in her pursuit for revenge, but she was willing to make the ultimate sacrifice in order to make sure that Sally would live on. In the end, these two broken halves of the same whole managed to break free from the cycle that would see them corrupted as their predecessors.

And for the life of me I just can't imagine that during his explorations around Rapture Jack never found and rescued Elizabeth from her cruel fate. The lock of hair and the prototype Vita Chamber in proximity just scream resurrection.

The picture is my interpretation of a part of the "The Lion and the Lamb" story written by MartyrFan (seriously, check it out). I might put out a few more pictures later as soon as I am done tweaking them.

Jackabeth FTW!

Thank you for the comment! It’s so good to see that there are more people that also ship Jack and Elizabeth, since this OTP deserves as much recognition as possible. Also, I’ve been scouring the internet for as many Jackabeth fics as possible, and I certainly remember reading yours!

Anyway, thanks again!
