It is the heart that often thinks it is sound of mind.

I agree- we are not born "good", we are born as selfish as any. We learn good... or not.
When we take a minute to consider if our actions serve others vs self, I would argue that the world might just lean towards a more positive side. Think before you act.

What's wrong with wishful thinking? I'm a realist but definitely see the need for hope and striving to evolve. Google "Heart Math Studies", you might find some useful information about intention, empathy and the heart.

Nothing wrong with having faith in something, but it's wrong to state what you have faith in to be a matter of fact.

i love this piece; its a very creative and a very original twist on "good intentions" at first i thought it would be a creature from myth with the way you made its hearts fuel fire but the root of good intention is often fueled by passion and there is no greater fire then that. i love the texture you used in the picture, the design is curved enough to look like root but strange enough to depict that the creature is actually a being. i also give you credit for turning the face just so, as if it were looking at its photographer. nice work
