I'm sure some folks'll see this & wonder "Why make a Pokemon Legends: Arceus animation when Scarlet & Violet are already out?"

Well, animation lead time is a thing that exists & I forget that sometimes, haha. Also, PL:A is still less than a year old! Goodness me, from an artistic standpoint I feel Pokemon games could stand to slow down how often they're released, but from a business standpoint I know that won't happen anytime soon ;w;

Ah well, the animation's 'punchline' definitely isn't exclusive to PL:A as a game, so I hope it'll be well received regardless of any perceived obsolescence

Compared to my previous thumbnails, this one took a relatively short amount of time, which was nice! Definitely b/c I decided NOT to use my usual vector method. Instead I opted for a rough raster brush to evoke the traditional ink-wash style of PL:A's official art. And of course that style leans more towards winging it than fussing over every line. I swear I had to fight w/ myself to leave 'imperfections' like the overlapping lines on the hat brim & index finger in, haha. As much as I love drawing crisp & clean lineart, I want to continue exploring the rougher, more organic side of it too. Versatility is key!
