Description
These are 2 edits derived from the photo on the left. The original was taken on Halloween, when I had seen it on screen I simply decided it wasn’t ‘scary’ enough, so, using a range of adjustment layers, colours etc the middle image was created! It was the first time I had done a dramatic ‘re-touch’ of a portrait, and it encouraged me to be more adventurous and dramatic with my portraits. The third was inspired by the recent hit film: Avatar. I am very proud of the final image after spending hours warping, dodging, burning, adjusting getting it to look as realistic as possible – as a result of this photo I had a number of requests to turn photos of other people into Avatars!
