Few people asked me while I was working on this if the meaning was religious. The beauty of art is that everyone sees and feels something different in it based on their own life experiences β however this was not intended to have a religious meaning; rather, it is about life choices and letting go of things we can't and shouldn't try to control. Life is much like a maze of stairways and each and every choice we make β even the smallest ones β can lead us to rise on descent on any one of them. They never really lead to a dead end, but taking the wrong one may lead to a very long and difficult detour to where we are intended to get. To make things worse, we spend a good portion of our lives trying to get exactly what we want and force it to become our way β while we often have no clue what we really want and need. Letting go of trying to force things can allow us to see what really matters and where we really should be going.
