To be fair, basically everyone in Final Wars was a cameo. I think Kitamura just put them in just to say he made a Godzilla movie.

Too bad Gigan's weapons didn't include a bug zapper. That would've in handy in this situation. All he'd've need to have said is "go go Gigan bug zapper!"

I love Gigan! Sadly, this is the first I've heard of Godzilla: Final Wars. What's the deal? Like a death tournament of Godzilla monsters? I'll have to check it out!

The plot runs a bit deeper then that, the guys from planet X in the funny rubber suits come back, basically take over all the monsters with mind control (Cept Destroyah and a few others not worth mentioning D8), Godzilla kicks everyone's ass thanks to hours of grinding, Mecha Gigan and Monster X fight Godzilla, the above happens, then Monster X activates his cheat codes and digivolves via fusion dance with the leader of the rubber suit guys. Into a King Ghidorah re-color. And Godzilla Pwns him and teh aliens, and the world starts to re-build the end.
I think I summed it up, I hardly remember it, but basically its what happens in 2012.

yeah, i liked the kick ass look of the new gigan, but all those weapons on him were kind of overkill and kind of lame he still gets killed by a flaming moth, i did like mothra as well though.
