Description
Ode to a Robin in a Winter TreeTo the Robin outside my door
Whose song is rare in the cold days
And even more seldom touching
Like the last leaf on a tree in the Fall
You linger like forgotten seasons passed
Who are so similar they each lose identity
Red flame in a barren winter tree
As fire against ice
Your song against my dreary heart (in the cold season of despair)
You see me now as I you
And when distraction brings me to leave
I return to find the tree barrenΒ Β
Where have you flown Robin?

Sorry it took so long for me to get to this.
Very nice metaphorical poem.
This supposed to be like Spoken Word?

No prob, this poem was experimental and a metaphor for much greater symbolism than it literally reads. It's a poem about loss and emptiness I suppose, it can be read however you please. Thanks for commenting it encourages more posts lol.

That's how most poetry is though.
People read a poem and then their
imagination goes wild. yeah, i know
how it feels, no problem
