the pebble I threw
down the hill

it bounced a bit and hit a rat
which in turn squealed and startled a cat
a chase ensued
and carried out onto the road

A truck swerved to avoid the cat
it hit the curb, flipped, and the tank cracked
an inevitable spark or two
and the valley at the bottom of the hill was made flat

Accusations of terrorism were made
blaming people in faraway caves
so a missile was shot
but if failed and landed in a Chinese parking lot

Thus began a war
there was scarcely time to close a bunker door
holocaust finally began
explosions make a deafening roar

it was as bad as you imagine
the earth was nearly made barren
so god was just like “fuck this”
and the universe went BOOM
