try this:
Create five poses for each step from frames 1-12 at 24 frames per second.
The first pose and last pose at frames 1 and 12 should be the character about to step. One leg should be fully extended forward with the heel up while the other should have a bit of a bend in the knee and the heel coming up.
The middle pose or (passing position) at frame 6 should have the back leg come forward and up with the heel pointed down. and a bit past the other leg. The other leg should be straight and planted on the floor.
The next pose should be at frame 3 and it should have the front leg heel down, the character COG a bit down and lean forward while you bend the front leg. The back leg should come up a bit, heel pointed straight down, and looks like its going to move forward.
The final pose should be the character up at frame 9. The back leg that is supporting the weight should be fully extended up and forward while the leg that is up about to come down goes forward and up even more. the character should be at his highest at this point.
I'll draw it out for you and have it up today.
But once you got a basic walk cycle like that down, try it on this animation. Its a great idea and i want to see you finish.
