(Starship Troopers story)
As an extension of “Starship Troopers” and the interstellar battle between the Terran Federation (humans) against the Arachnid Empire (bugs) I present the concept of:
The “Transport Bug” / “transport bug” is a colossal arachnid subspecies used as a type of organic starship deployed for invasions by the spider horde.🐜
Its main function, as its name indicates, is to transport the hosts of the arachnid empire between objective worlds or to explore new systems to colonize. The gigantic dimensions of the "Transport Bug" allow it to create an ideal interior environment for the troops that stay in its entrails. while waiting for their arrival destination; Upon arrival on a new planet, the arachnid troops in campaign are evacuated from its abdomen to start the invasion along with thousands of eggs ready to hatch new reinforcements in the combat area.
As the main quality of the "Transport Bug" we have the resistant shell or exoskeleton capable of withstanding strong impacts while moving in the vacuum of space, its head has a folding armor that protects it from the hostile environment and only opens when it descends to its destination. to collect or evacuate arachnid nests and then rise by means of its retractable wings until leaving the planet's atmosphere. (During space travel its wings are stowed while powered by internal combustion and only reopen in the event of an interstellar battle.) ☄
As additional information, the "Transport Bug" uses water as part of its fuel and sometimes makes random stops to supply and absorb water inside organic sacks under the jurisdiction of worlds that are under the control of the arachnid empire. (Like an interplanetary airport system for bugs.)
Finally, a large number of "Transport Bug" were detected heading for the earth, "SICON" (Strategically Integrated Coalition of Nations) ordered to activate all defensive systems to intercept the invaders before touching the earth with its eight legs.
