the bellsprout looks really good and to be honest I actually think that the root feet are making it more realistic

Lining makes it look cool and simplistic
Shading is blended really nicely with pretty lighting I can't even start
With the white lining around big curves such as the mouth and leaves, try smoothing over a little?
And roots are perfectly perfect shushsushsh

thanks angela bb!!!! the white line is something that is continually a problem for me lmao because the program i use doesn't really have an easy way to do that so i just ,, , polygon select tool,, ,, but i mean bleh yeah i should smooth them over v_v i'll try to figure out a more convenient way to do it lol

Maybe try using eraser and erase them into white lines? It might work or fail horribly I dunno dude good luck on your quest!!

Aww what a cute acid speewing monstrosity!
Hmmm i think i like how it was without the pen more, but since most of the drawing is pretty dark its hard to tell.
If your drawing something brighter it might make a big difference so i would try another pic with the pen, maybe have a side by side of one with and one without the pen.
Either way it looks great

hahaah thanks kjo!
and yeah |:/ i don't like it that much either but the problem with the other way i lined was that there was no difference in the weight of the lines... i guess that's okay though |:0 mostly i'm trying to find a way to do lineart that i like. i don't like any of my lineart tbh |:0

You dont happen to have a set of art pencils around do you? (You could probably buy a decent set for less than 10 bucks)
Maybe a pencil at 4-6B would be what you want, dark but not pitch black (pen/9B pencil)
As for digital...
You could draw with the pen then raise the opacity to slowly change the darkness of the lines (if you cant just pick a lighter grey to begin with)
Or you can get a bamboo tablet and a program that takes advantage of the pressure sensitivity :3

oh i was talking digital hahaha generally i don't line in pencil for traditional things
also i don't really want that |:0 i don't want to change the opacity of the lines, i just want the thickness to vary. i already have pressure sensitivity. it was just the brush i was using

Oh lol (i was like pen...real or digital?) xD so thats why i put both
What i usually do is put the brush on pencil, black, then set the sensitivity up high so i dont have to press hard to get the dark/wider lines, that way as i draw normally all i have to do is put a little bit more pressure to go darker. And since i dont have to lift my hand or stop the lines look smooth :3
I know thats not really an explination (
because i dont really know what im talking about quiet brain!) But its mostly just trial and error.
I think the sensitivity and the brush might be the issue, i would try other brushes and sensitivities ( but then agian i have no clue damn it brain!)
(Also ive always used sai so im not sure how the pen tablet works with your program)
