Im a fan of many mythologies and folklore. I've bought more books than I can read. But out of the many tales, I've always found the Moth-man to be very intriguing. This design came out of a comedic short story I wrote in a group a few years ago. Well it started out funny then ended in a dark fashion (I'll submit it some time). Anyways I wanted to give the Moth-man a different shape than the usual one of the owl shaped head and torso. I figured a larger version of the area 51 visitor type shape. I gave some scientific details about this creature.

Semi Bifurcated Jaw- The oral cavity of the Moth-man has a green glow. And the bifurcation can be noticed. The jaw splits beneath the skin, connected by the translucent epidermis. The bifurcation is not used to swallow large portions of food though. This creature has three very powerful vocal cords. The creature can control them with ease. Using them for communication, mating calls, and to kill. Once the mouth is open to its maximum width, the vocal cords can be loud enough to shatter ear drums and rupture the skull of prey. Causing their brain to cave in so to speak. The vocal capacity is also said to weaken the integrity of bridges and buildings.

Skeletal System- The creature has an endoskeleton that is composed of a tough cartilage. Virtually close to unbreakable bone. These endoskeletons tend to be lightweight. Putting the Moth-man's weight around 300 pounds.

Epidermis- The skin of this creature has similar fur that an ordinary moth would. And a dust like component. Which there is a higher abundance of the dust on the wings of the creature. But that is this creature's downfall. This dust is highly flammable. Sometimes these creatures would get caught in forest fires and in an their frenzy to escape their singeing dust particles would get caught in the wind like embers. Causing the fire to spread.
