I got the joke

I know this comment is a couple months old- but we don't take the show seriously, we take the situations seriously.
Like a lot of the Meg bashing can be happening to irl people, and so it's not funny to joke about it on a cartoon, because it can be depressing for some people.
Like for instance, the cutting in the Simpson's crossover, the fact that her OWN mother practically gave her pills to kill herself
with and told her she was gonna look the other way, that's really fucked up. Especially the joke in one of the episodes where
Peter walks into her room to tell her goodnight and he doesn't notice that she hung herself. That's really not funny, suicide will never be funny.
Just like when they joke about rape since Quagmire has raped woman before, and it's not funny in any way. It's traumatizing the stuff they try joking about. They even joked about Peter in an Asylum and that's no laughing matter.
