confession. the previous jasmine drawings on my old account were paint overs. not real matte painting techniques.
sooo....this is my first attempt at a true matte painting technique. side by side comparison...
it's a birthday gift to the singer who turns 21 on november 3rd. she WILL be receiving this from the street team so i'm excited to hear her reaction. haha!
i do think that she looks a little thinner and angular in the drawing compared to the reference image: [link]
whatever. i like the results
EDIT:
fixed the chin and jaw. NOW i like the results...haha!

It's interesting...I don't know if it was intentional or not, but you brought down her eyebrows and made her look much softer, intense still but in a different kind of mood...you also lightened the shadows on her face which adds to that. It looks nice overall.

I could see this as a CD cover or something. I like the softness of it, and the HAIR. IS. AWESOME. D:

Nice ^^
You're right though, she looks a bit thinner and angular, but that's no big deal.
The only real problem I can see is that her chin looks wrong. Like pointed toward, if you can, shift it a bit to the right... I hope it helps

I really love the eyes! They came out very nicely! I think the skin turned out nicely as well! Perhaps a few more darker shades to define the source of light, but other then that it is amazing!

Lovely textures. Realism is present. You've captured a sort of atmosphere around her in this painting. I really like it.
