Description
From another old Cartoon Network show, "Courage, the Cowardly Dog", we have the villain, King Ramses, also known as "The man in gauze, the man in gauze"This surreal guy only appeared in the episode "King Ramses' Curse" and is quite popular actually. Anyone who finds his slab will see him there, waiting to get his slab back, or else they'll suffer his curse. What's his offer? He has 3 different plagues to torture them, each one worse than the last. The first and third plagues he summons are flooding and a black swarm that will eat anything, respectively, but the second plague that's between them is, actually, hillarious. It's a loud and annoying song played on a phonograph.

Oh, and he's no Santa Claus!

One of the best songs from the series even if it was repetitive.

"Oh, come on..."
That one line literally made me think, "This isn't the bad guy, he's just upset because Eustace is being a dick. Again."
...it was also pretty lolworthy.
But yeah, even though this guy is the stuff of nightmares for most people who've seen Courage the Cowardly Dog, this is simply another example of how the monster isn't always the evil one in the episode. Anyone remember one of the first episodes with Bigfoot? He was lost and just wanted to find his mom. But of course Eustace, that old geezer, decided to make profit off of him by capturing him and turning him in. Or how about the hunchback in the barn? Possibly one of the most magnanimous characters in the series aside from Muriel.
To put it simply, what most people don't realize about this show is this: The monster isn't outside; it's inside.

Unlike a lot of people, I wasn't that freaked out by this guy during the one episode. Although I was disturbed to find out that the instrument that plays during his "Lietmotif" was reused in Half-Life's Soundtrack, for the track "Jungle Drums" www.youtube.com/watch?v=JLZWv7β¦ in which you have to fight the mother of all headcrabs, AKA the Gonarch.

It's actually funny because I expected to be gloomy and dull, instead of upbeat.

I remember this guy. He was so creepy because they animated him in a different style from everyone else, so he really seemed like he didn't belong in that world.
