the reason of the fight here...probably because he surprised her, he took her hoodie off or he wanted to give the rose to her...simple as that.
the reason of why he is smiling...because he knows Ariadna actually likes him and is only afraid of how the situation can ''evolve''
but well...she already have him cornered XD

... I just have one question. Pupil means Student, or among other synonyms: disciple - schoolboy - scholar - learner. So, my question is: How does a recruit (recluta) - an assassin of low rank - have a student? Would not she be a student herself because of rank?

Interesting. .3. But technically only Master Assassin's can take on Students. Higher ranked assassin's in training could often help out though, whether around a Mentor or just to give tips to a friend. .3.
