Where the western plains of the elves and humans meets the land of the desert dwelling folks such as the Naga an isolated entrance lays with some small villages scattered around lies. If you decide to venture down into the entrance soon you will find yourself in a cavernous system. But behold as it reveals rooms full of ancient scripts and books written in long forgotten languages with hidden knowledge, relics which use can only be hypthesized and runes whose meaning and the potential powers they may posses clouded in mystery.

A voice speaks to you as you curiously look around and a sleek figure appears out of one of the many entrances around. "What is it, that you seek oh brave explorer? Is it knowledge or power? What price are you willing to pay for me to grant you access to my collection?" "What are you?", you exclaim marveling the sphinx-like creature which revealed itself to you. A face like a human but walking on all four and sharp claws, a mane with demonic horns peaking out of it. It's long tail adorned with furr and spikes poking out. You have never seen such a creature before in your long travels. "Me? I am but a guard to this place to ensure none of its knowledge falls into the wrong hands." the creature replied in a calm but serious manner."

But yeah, this is basically his occupation. He is some sort of demonic sphinx, a subclass of demons mostly used as a means of defense and as guards to certain places.

This one in particular takes care some ancient underground ruins with a lot of old stuff in them. He is a wise and calm soul with a lot of patience and a great sense of responsibility and judgement. While people who only encountered him once may see him as a unwavering and even imposing being, as he is roughly the size of an adult tiger when walking on all fours and even bigger when standing up, which he can do although not for too long, he is quiet the opposite. Gentle and quit considerate but also highly self-conscious about his appearance due to an event in his past, he partially detests spending a lot of time on his own and yearns for company and some more freedom.

Now to the event in his past. Basically the town folks decided, in order to gain his favor and get access to the things he guards, they sent him offerings, however he is not a person to be impressed or deterred by material gifts and as such all of their attempts to "bribe" him have failed. One day he, to his surprise, found two young maiden at the entrance to his place. When he inquired what they wanted they told him, they were there to satisfy his more "primal needs" since he rejected all luxury items and even food before. Quiet shocked at the fact that they would send out their own kind as an offer for him he still thinks about refusing the offer however tempting it may be and return to his chambers when the two ladies started to follow him. Once inside they start undressing and reassure, almost begging him to "take them" so he reluctantly obliges and actually feels some anticipation. As things progress however he looks up at their faces and sees clear aversion or even slight fear, which makes him immediately freeze and retreat. He ends up telling them to report to their superiors that they can pick up one item and to never come back, as he just wishes to get out of this highly uncomfortable situation.

Since then his self-esteem regarding his look is kind of... damaged. xP

He is between 30 to 40 years old, which isn't really that old for his kind

As I mentioned, around the height of an adult tiger when on all fours and, when standing up on his hind legs around the same length as a tiger + the added humanoid torso and tail

Male, heterosexual and ofc... still a virgin

Actually smoothes his bangs back because without doing that he would look even fuzzier

Has a pair of old reading glasses he uses to read, since he is somewhat farsighted

He doesn't have a name yet, maybe he will never get one but I am open for suggestions. x3
