Maybe you are thinking of her first voice-over artist (season 1-3) Whoopi Goldberg. Starting from 4th season, they replaced Whoopi with Margot Kidder.

Just kidding, I always loved Gaia, the show made her so passionate, and a good team leader.

Nice colours. Though I'm fairly sure Gaia was black (and voiced by Whoopi Goldberg). Ah, the memories. I used to have a glow in the dark Duke Nukem (he'd only glow if you'd hold him up to a light bulb for five minutes before switching of the lights, then you're eyes would re-adjust by the time he stopped).
