I've just learned how to be fast with my art while still trying to make it good quality!! uwu ah yess I love imoshark's gifs and drawings, they're so cute!! there's no secret to it really...well, I actually don't do lineart first in sai on a linework layer, I just go in straight with the pen tool and that's my first layer uwu so maybe that's it?? take pride in the fact that you take longer with things, it means you're fine-tuning to perfection (which your work always is) <3Ā

;;_;; I usually draw ovr sketches when I'm lazy but even that takes some time because I'm like "this is wrong, this is wrong, this is wrong-" etc and I'm just super slow and picky with lineart and thats tHEREASON THIS IS ONE STOLENSHIPPING ARTWORK IS TAKING SO LONG SHDBGDJD ;n; and nouuuu you compliment me and give me too much credit for my work. I get like that sometimes too. Line art is the starter block of the drawing but I actually really hate doing it because sometimes my line turn out too thick and I have to trim them down which results in the drawing being a mess. I also can't sketch for my life - I see artists on tumblr who's idea of sketching is flowy pastel lines that don't intersect and it looks pretty much perfect, whereas when I sketch it looks like a mess. I wish I could sketch like other people can, it's either go big or go home for me. Which sometimes has some very unsavory results.
i mean it! your work is beautiful!! C: and you concentrate more on the aesthetic because you take your time <3 trust me, as you keep drawing, you WILL get faster at it. I have certain settings that I use in SAI and I have a formula for how drawings start and end (I always do skin last, for example). I start with the linework layer and move to the hair, eyes, etc. basically down the piece until I'm done. Really, don't worry about being slow! Taking the time to perfect your work is worth it uwu

^^^^^^The line gets too thick and etc. That's what I did with the last stolenshipping drawing. I drew lines, made them thicker in one place, then thinner in others AND I SAT THERE FOR 5 HOURS AND DID THIS, COLORS WERE NOT A PROBLEM. I can't lineart pretty but I can sketch sort of clean. That sharkbait comic thingy was just sketched up xD My sketches, when I know what I want to draw, look neat, but when I'm just derping around, you cannot see the canvas at all by how gross it all looks.
AHHH AIUDGHUID BUT OMG SHHH NOU, MY WORK IS DERP. ;n; I dont think I will get faster at it ;^; but I can dream! Been drawing for 2/3 years now and I'm still very slow. That's really weird how you say you do skin last because I do skin first XD Then hair, then clothes and pants, later I add all small details. I don't know if my work is worth anything. I have difficulty pricing my work and art because I don't know what it's worth. My friend wants me to make a paypal soooo baaaadddddddd so I can earn money and take commissions, but I'm too lazy to open it xD ppfff, also, 3 hours. It would probably take 3 hours to decide on a price. Last thing my friend mentioned to me was that one colored piece from me with a full background and everything could probably cost 7 dollars, to which I don't know if it's accurate or not. Really hard to price things :cĀ

Your last stolenshipping drawing was beautiful. Honestly, I'm in such awe of you! The lines were clean and crisp and the detail in the eyes was beautiful, and Ryoga's hair was so flowy mm I just wanted to brush it and run my fingers through it. I feel you so much. I always make the lines thick and then I have to thin them out!! My line art always sucks and that's what takes me the most time to fix. I wish I sketched better!! I always have to make things look good or else they look derp and I scrap the drawing.
Hey, you are really good for 2/3 years of drawing, love! Never mind that you can't draw fast, the amount of detail you put into things really shows in your work - I can tell you treat each drawing with love and care and I admire that so much about your drawings. Yeah, you could say I work backwards!! I feel as if I can't determine a skin color until I do the rest of the drawing Ā - for example, I always have trouble deciding on a color for Alit's gorgeous skin so I always color the rest of him first and then look at how dark his hair turned out to be and make his skin a little lighter than that. Pricing work is difficult! My advice is, think about the time you spend on drawings and how much you would WANT to be charged for the amount of time you put into everything. Think about if you want to charge extra for extra characters, backgrounds, and how much time you put into the work. For fully shaded drawings, I price them at $15 because I put a lot of work into them and therefore I think that's how much I should earn. Also, get a friend to help you price it!! Find someone who can help you look at your work and decide on prices. I had my best friend sit down with me and work out prices with me because I've drawn a lot of things for her and we're very familiar with each other's work. But honey, your drawings are worth so much. Never put yourself down!! You are a wonderful artist and a sweet person to boot - if I had any funds, I would commission you, but alas I am a poor college student.Ā

I have so many scrapped drawing it's iuhsuihidhiduhdiuhdi also, about 100+ ygo ones that got deleted because my previous computer had a mental breakdown. I WISH I COULD DRAW ALL THOSE THINGS AGAIN BUT I LACK THE MOTIVATION TO DO SO. IM SORRY.
;A; I dunno, I try to put in detail but I can't see my drawings be that detailed. I've also seen drawings that lack so much detail yet look amazing. FREAKING HOW DO YOU EVEN COLORS. I haven't even thought about characters. Well, extra added ones. I need to think of prices, I dunno, a friend can sit down with me and help me but I really don't know what my art is worth or if it's worth anything.

You do really great coloring. Honestly, I love it. When we did a collab i was blown away by how your colors looked!! You put thought and time into your work and it shows - i can tell you do every drawing with love and care which is a quality that most artists should possess.
