Description Harlequin Romantic

-Elbereth-

"Too great is her beauty to be declared in the words of men or of elves."
- the Silmarillion

Varda (or I prefer, Elbereth), one of the Valar created by Tolkien. Lady of the stars.
While I wouldn't begin to compare something wrought by myself to an elf goddess; when I hear of Elbereth "queen of the stars"... I think of a galactic queen and this pendant seems to embody exactly that in my imagination; with all of its grays and gunmetals mixed with swirling, nebulous qualities of the harlequin glass.
So there you have it. Elbereth, the Galactic Queen.

... but to an ares is kinda weird.
oh well. its weird scorpio can have the pretty, pastel opal... but they can also be (and are mostly)citrine (such a pretty stone).

Yeah, i've always kinda thought it made sense.... and get this: my name means "thinking of the sea," too! Weird, huh?
The Western zodiac signs have always confused me, to be honest.... i can never remember any of them except for my own! So, yeah... you're not the only one losing your mind!

thank you!
it is synthetic (unfortunately, but i guess at least that way they're easy to come by).
it is handmade harlequin glass (hence my name, when i started out the idea was to use nothing but these stones, but unfortunately... i am, in nature, a deviant ). they're also referred to as synthetic opals; glass opals

you're too kind
elbereth; it is the way he describes
that tempts people like we artists to
try to capture even a fragment of her
beauty.

Now when you say it like that, it makes me want to read the book all over again. Tolkien has such a way with words doesn't he? He gives you a perfect picture of these fantastic moments while they're constructed on paper.

oh my!
ya know, i think i might have one...
the reason i word it that way is
i had stuff in storage with my parents
things. we lost all of that stuff, none
of it salvageable.
if it is by chance in my parents home!
then i have it
two tower and return of the king.
do you know if mr. jackson is working
on the hobbit yet?
