Well if it's any comfort I've had a broken card slot in my canon and sent it in for repair and I've not had anymore problems with it! That was three years ago! *knocks on wood*
It would suck and be hilarious at the same time if it broke in the next week or so cause the last time it broke was before for a wedding I was shooting and I'm about to shoot another wedding on the 3rd!
