"I don't care if Anne is gay," said Mae through the tears, "if that's why she ran away…..Anne I wish I had known, I would have said that's fine, I still love you. I accept you for who you are…..Anne please come home….." Mae continued to cry not sure how to absorb this new information. She did eventually stand up though and looked into Camila's eyes. Eyes that were also starting to fill with tears.

"I knew something was wrong with Luz, but I didn't know it was this," she said, "when I picked her up from the dance that night she seemed so dispirited. I tried to get her to talk about it, but was she really so scared of how I'd react that she ran away? Luz….I still love you mija….even if you're gay I still love you…..I just want you to come home…." With that Mae came up and hugged Camila the two of them continuing to cry.
