I love the capture. I find it rather unusual to find such a soft focus on Hanami and this is a breath of fresh air. The DOF and composition could not be better; mostly. I am not sure if it was intentional or not, but the shot seems to have been perfectly timed to position the shadow floating in perfect symmetry between the tree and the bench which is great for creating a nice eye line. All in all, I am highly impressed with the shot. I would be very pleased to turn out a shot this great and be able to call it boring. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="
If I were going to try to fix the DOF I would try to blend out the left edge just a wee bit.

It somehow has a really gentle, soft feeling to it. I love how the colors are balanced, pink and blueish-gray. also it's not too bright or dark. It's a really lovely and beautyful picture^^

Warmth of winter, excellent scene. Reminds me of cherry blossom scene in the last samurai.

Don't get me wrong, I'm usually against the overuse of pink. But this image is really nice. It has a very mystical atmosphere. The streak of blue across the center, and the contrast created by the bench and tree trunk, are just great. Sorry I don't know more about photogrpahy, or I'd give a better critique.
