Damn, that's cool. And the backstory behind the object was just as fascinating.
I wonder who they fought against and what happened to them...? And if the thing could create explosions of that magnitude, it mus have contained enormously powerful energy generators. For the sake of Mars, let's hope that whatever energy source this thing had isn't active anymore...
