Description
I've been getting back into life drawing over the past 3 weeks as I said to myself at the start of the year I'd do it on a regular basis but haven't found a studio that runs on a day that I've got free. Anywho the one I'm going to now is pretty good, the models so far are really imaginative and have good form, likewise the people that go to draw are quite skilled, whereas other places I've gone to before there's been a bit of a mix, which I find doesn't really provide such a huge challenge. But yeah these sketches are just a few of what I've done!!

Yeah anatomy would be what I'm most comfortable with at the moment but I'm trying to break that boundary by experimenting with colour and doing different exercises. I enjoyed the video a lot, it's so true though the only way you get better is by failing, too bad society only rewards success!!

looks great. love the defined linework.
the life drawing i go to in hardware lane normally only encourages pencil and charcoal. would be good to explore sharper permanent mediums.
normally doodle in ballpoint anyway.
cheers

where abouts in hardware lane is the one you go to?? I find I'm more comfortable using pen than pencil or charcoal, granted they all have their own texture and look.

oops. meant degraves sorry. cae one. its not a week by week one, i just repeat a class to get use of the models, and the tutor just works with whatever level you are at. mainly beginners in there so wanting to move to somewhere a bit more pro so that i am challenged and pushed to improve (by peer-osmosis not just practice)

ah yeah I know where that is. is it one of those classes where you pay a few hundred dollars and get some tutoring over a few weeks?? yeah theres heaps of places around melbourne where some pretty talented people go, check out life drawing directory melbourne or google it but itll give you a list of places with times, dates and whether they're tutored or untutored, good place to start!!
