I feel like my takeaway from this series as a whole was almost definitely not supposed to be "that's so cute," but if I'm going to get on board with a Muppet horror franchise then those are my conditions.
Anyway, the landlord and the duck guy have a deal whereby the duck guy gets a pretty nice discount on his half of the rent in exchange for tutoring the yellow guy 5 days a week, but the yellow guy has been spending more and more time with them outside the said tutoring sessions because his dad is just inexplicably gone all the time and they feel a little not great about letting him go back to an empty flat, he can barely tie his shoes.

Seriously!!!! I imagine the sheer novelty of finding a friendly face in this weird neighborhood completely overrode their young adult awkwardness about How to Keep a Kid Entertained ("...do they like Trivial Pursuit? How old is he???")
And also he looks up to Drake and that's why green is his favorite color even though it's not creative.
