Got a Tumblr request for some Engie/Medic and ended up with this
...When you science too hard all night and end up collapsing in a heap on the floor. I'd like to think Medic helped Engie out with the Gunslinger (seriously, an amputation going on at base without Medic present? He'd be livid) and they'd have a fun time working on improving the original idea together.Β

Okay so I'm not a fan of the ship, but I can see how much effort you put into this. Like dang, 10 outta 10 lighting and shading. The background and surrounding details must've taken the longest, it's very nicely done.
Also, I agree with the part about Med being involved with Engie's arm amputation. I'd really like to know the official story behind that.

Me too, would've been very cool to get a look at what happened after the last panel in the Loose Canon comic with him getting a closer look at Radigan's old blueprints

I love the colours and composition and camera angle so much! The sunlit Gunslinger and test tubes, the scattered notes and blueprints, Medic's coat and their SOCKS to keep them warm (goshdarnit the socks look comfy)... and in all that mess, the hardhat and gloves are placed so very neatly together.Β
It speaks volumes of this pairing really. The highs from hard sciencing balanced by a dash of practicality that can't help but show up in their personalities. Beautiful contrast and details. Thank you for making this β and to whoever requested this from you.Β Β Β

I'm happy you took the time to note all those details, yay! I spent quite a while trying to come up with a scenario for these two.Β
Now, if only someone would spoon me when I'm exhausted from lab work (damn you, long distance relationshipΒ ).. Maybe not on the floor, but I'm not picky.

The details are like a scavenger hunt, it's lovely!
And spooning? Gotta take turns with being big or little because contrast! And I guess it's OK on the floor even in winter β provided there're blankets, hot drinks and a nice fireplace. Coffee, milk or jarate. Whatever works.

They really made quite mess, eh? I blame Medic, mostly. I feel like he'd get very passionate and jump from one idea to the next when he gets inspiration, whereas Engie is more methodical. But Medic makes messes faster than you can clean them and his enthusiasm is infectious, so Engie kinda gets swept along with it X)Β
Yesss! Taking turns is the best (although I am very small and my bf is very tall, haha).Β
Oh god, no jarate please! D: Can we make hot chocolate instead? Or anything warm that didn't originate inside of Sniper?Β
