She's not mine, but she's so precious. This is Raven, who belongs to one of my closest friends. She's such a brat, but only because she loves the attention.This was originally going to be a color shot, but while framing the shot, I decided against it. Good thing my camera's menus are easy to navigate... I don't know how much longer she would have stayed distracted. She kept taking curious glances at me, trying to figure out what I was up to.

Yeah, my camera has over two dozen pre-set filters for various lightings as well as fully customizable filters. I don't know if it's a mental thing or not, but I believe a picture that is taken in black and white finishes with a more classic feel than one that is desaturated afterward -- much like black and white film has a different feel when compared to color film.
I would have approached this shot from a much different angle had I chosen to take it in color.

cuz if you take it in colour you know it looks like in colour then when you change it to black and white it seems like it was fake, but in black and white originally, then you have no room to think that it was ever in any other colour
